One of the larger and more aggressive Pike Cichlids due to its predatory habits it is not to be trusted but with only the largest of fish. Will accept varieties of foods when young but as it gets larger it may only accept feeders. If going to be kept with Central American Cichlids make sure the tank is heavily decorated with Rrocks, wood and plants for hiding place and territory.
