Cichla temensis can be some very fasinating and
beautiful fish to have if you can house them. They will eat any
fish that will fit in their mouth so it is best to either house
them with thier own species or to get fish that will grow big
with them. They are aggresive eaters but are not a fighting fish
and should be kept with another peaceful fish. Oscars are good
tank mates for them. They are picky eaters and if you can get
them to eat something other then feeder fish great, but most
will only eat feeder fish.
