This is one of the larger Cichlids avalible in
the hobby today. Wen young it is a grey color with a few spots
on the gill plate but when nearing sexual maturity it will begin
to color up rather nicely. This is by far one of the most
aggressive Cichlids. An open water predator from Colombia it
does not stake out territory like many of the C.A. Cichlids do.
Which means it likes to swim in all locations of the tank so do
not mix with territorial species unless in a very large tank.
Feed on a well balanced diet of live and pellet foods.
