This is a docile cichlid that would work well in a community tank. The electric yellow is easy to keep and breed. They do not pair off so it is suggested to get a group of 1 male to 3 females to have the best breeding results. The male Electric Yellow is more brightly colored and may have a blueish tint with a black stripe across the eye. The Electric yellow is a mouth brooder.
