Okay. It is late afternoon, and your team has been playng defense the entire tikme. The opposing force is begginning to show signs of weakness, so your general gives the okay for attack. You look out on the field. Half of your enemie's team's force is otu there, and the other half is at their base. their defenses look formidable, and their guns are nowhere near empty. the other half of their forcecould come anytime.  What do you do?
It is situations like this that a captain or leader has tol deal with a lot. But there are ways to win. First, you must assess the situation. Do not run in with guns blazing, because that is hardly the best idea.  A good thing to do first is to look at the situation and think of all the possibilities. Thinking  about all of the worst scenarios, will prepare you for the worst. the better prepared you are, the better chance you have of winning.
Another good thing to consider is the landscape.Tthe landscape plays an important role in how your team, as well as the other team, will fight. Think to your self, does the other team have the uphill advantage? Are there trees and bushes to hide behind? Will your team be forced into close quarters combat due to the terrain?  is there any cover at all? These are all factors to ponder before charging into battle. Another thing to think about is your own team. How skilled rae they? Are they weary or exhausted? What kind of weaponry do they have? How good is teir water supply? Remember, a soldier with more stamina will have better results on the field.
Okay, so you are mentally prepared for the batte ahead. Now what do you do? Every team has it's own tactics. I will just describe a few that might work.

One good tactic is the good old destraction. The decoy. The bait. Send out a small group of abotu 4-5 people. Arm them with big weapons, but only fill them up half full. The nemy might suspect something if they are really weak guns, but the sight of big guns might tempt them to chase. It doesn't matter if they get the entire army to chase after them or if they only get half. But you can use that to your advantage by sending out your whole force and catching the other team off guard.
Here is another nifty one:
Split your team into two parts.  Have one part be bigger than the other one, but not by much. Hide the smaller team in the bushes somewhere. have the other team start to battle with the enemy. Yell RETREAT! and retreat. The enemies should follow. When you gte past the bush. Stop and split your team into three parts. Have the other two parts surround the sides of the nemy, so they are trapped.  Then have the hidden team jump out and close the it up, trapping them.
