Plants and Animals
Plants
In our community, we plan to grow various fruit trees such as orange trees, apple trees and lemon trees. these fruits are not as fragile as most other fruits and they contain enough vitamins for inhabitants.
Hemp, or the Cannabis sativa, is a plant which originated in Central Asia. Generally it is grown for its seeds which contain 30% oil. The fibers of this plant can be used to make artificial sponges or coarser materials such a burlap. Hemp can also be made into clothing. Because they require less water compared to cotton, this plant is a better alternative to cotton.
Broccoli, corn, lettuce, carrots and tomatoes are the vegetation that will be grown in the structure. All these vegetables should fulfill our daily nutrients. Another usage of the corn is making plastic. This plastic, because it is made of natural materials instead of petroleum, it takes only weeks to decompose.
To make the area inhabitable to the predators, we included a coniferous forest in the system. These trees have larger root systems to hold the ground. They do not require much sunlight or water due to the adaptations they have acquired from living in extreme conditions.
Algae is an important factor for our water source. In the water, algae can clean the water, acting as a water filter, and it can be used as fertilizer. Algae can be used for energy. By burning it, heat and electricity can be generated. The Arthrospira platensis form of algae, the blue-green algae, is a great source of nutrients which can be harvested to eat. Lastly, the natural pigments in algae can be used as natural dyes for various uses.
Animals/organisms
Genus Bos Taurus are useful in many ways. We can use its milk for various dairy products such as yogurt, cream, cheese, or simply drink the milk itself. We can also use the cow for food. Its skin can be used for shoes, clothing or accessories. The cows also aid in the Nitrogen and phosphorus cycles.
Chickens, or the Gallus Gallus,
also have more than one use. From hens, we have eggs to consume. Chickens are
also creatures that we can eat. These birds help cycle the nitrogen and
phosphorus in the environment.
Aside from using cow skin for clothing, we can also use wool from sheep for clothing. The genus Ovis is also good for consumption. They, too, will cycle the nitrogen and phosphorus in the environment.
Rabbits, Leporidae, provide the same uses as sheep, consuming and clothe making. These rabbits would be wild and live in the forest and also be consumed by predators.
Canis lupus Henophidia
Wolves, snakes, and hawks are the predators of this ecosystem. they mainly serve the purpose of keeping population levels of mice, rabbits, and live stock down so that they will not overpopulate, as well as the human population.
genus Accipiter
Mice are set in the ecosystem to feed the predators and among various other jobs such as eating human food. they also speed up the process of decomposition.
Ants, spiders, and flies are a necessary part of the ecosystem. They help in the process of decomposition and consuming each other. Ants and flies decompose dead animals. Spiders can consume flies, decreasing the number of flies.
Moronidae, genus Oncorhynchus, and genus Oncorhynchus, or the bass, salmon and trout all live in freshwater. These fish will live in the water surrounding the building where the humans live. Their sole purpose is to feed humans and possibly feed the predators.
Bacteria will also be incorporated into the ecosystem to increase the speed of decomposition. These bacteria can also aid in growing better crops and keep plants healthier. Different bacteria can help keep ourselves healthier.
