They reached the end of the pier and Zac motioned toward the bench they sat on when they'd had their first kiss. He sat down, sticking his legs through the space between the back and the seat. "Come here, babydoll." he reached his hand toward her and helped her straddle him, in the same postion they'd sat that night. He raked both his hands through her hair as she looked into his eyes. "I missed you, Emma. I couldn't wait to get back here to you." he said softly and stroked her cheek. "I missed you, too Zac. I hate trying to get to sleep when you're gone." she told him. "I love you so much." "Do you Emma? Do you love me?" he asked tracing her features with his pointer finger. "Yes. More than anything." she answered honestly. "Good." he smiled and kissed her softly. "Come home to Tulsa with me...please?" he asked softly. "Zac. We made these plans already, baby...I already have a room at Tay and Jen's." she said smiling. "I don't want you there, I want you with me, next to me in MY bed, where you belong." he stated, matter-of-factly and reached in his pocket. "Zac, your parents...it doesn't...I mean the kids..they shouldn't see.." she stopped, blushing, totally in agreement with Diana and Walker on that subject. "Then marry me." he said and pulled the tiny box from his pocket. He held it in front of her and smiled as her mouth dropped open. "Zac? What is this?" she breathed and took it from him slowly. "Open it Emma...then put it on and make me the happiest fool on the planet, please?" he grinned. "Zac...oh....god...." she breathed as tears spilled down her cheeks. She opened the box and more tears flowed as she took the diamond ring from its slot. "Here..." he took the ring from her grasp and held her other hand. "Emma, please marry me. I am a fool for not asking you sooner, you are everything to me, babydoll. Please?" he waited to slip the ring completely on until he had an answer. "Oh Zac...." she breathed, more tears flowing freely. "Yes...yes...I'll marry you." she told him, having to almost shout as the waves crashed loudly against the pier. His face broke into that slow, wide grin she loved so much as he slipped the ring on her finger. "I love you babydoll.." he said into her ear as he pulled her into his embrace. She slid her arms inside his jacket and ran her hands up his strong warm back. "I love you, my drummerman..." she whispered as his lips met hers, in a slow, sweet kiss that quickly turned passionate. Emma pressed herself as close as she could to his warm body, loving the feel of his strong arms that made her feel so safe. But this time instead of wondering what it would be like to feel his naked body against hers she KNEW and wanted to feel him against her in the worst way. Their kiss gained speed and intensity as Zac's hands roamed over her body and he thought to himself that he should really take her home now, and make love to her, long and slow, to erase all the bad memories. "Zac.." she breathed between sexy, open-mouthed kisses, "take me home..." "Mmm...okay baby..." he answered softly, and indulged in one more passionate kiss. As their tongues chased each other and their lips touched they were suddenly yanked back to reality by a crashing wave, that completely drenched them both. "Oh no way..." Emma giggled and Zac's heart soared to hear her lighthearted, contaigious voice as she pressed her wet forehead to his chest. He chuckled as she looked up at him, eyes wide with shock to see him just as soaking wet as she was. She cupped his face in her hands as he moved drenched curls off hers, and they both burst into laughter. "I love you.." she mouthed when their laughter subsided. "I didn't hear you babydoll...what was that?" he grinned. "I LOVE YOU!!!" she threw her head back and hollered into the sky. Zac let out a whoop and threw his own head back. "HELL YEAH!! SHE LOVES ME!!!" he hollered. Then crused his lips to hers as she giggled through her tears. |

Zac sat with Tay, Ike and a huge group of their friends and aquaintences in the bar the used to be Danny's, but now belonged to Emma's new friend Bob. He grinned to himself because Emma was one of the very few people that could get away with calling him that, though she always added something to it, usually she just called him Bobby-boy or she swore at him in jest. It did make him a bit uncomfortable to be here, but the changes that he'd made to the bar, and the fact that he, and his brothers, had gone out of their way to plan this damn bachelor party made it a little easier. His stomach was in knots and he was sure he wouldn't sleep tonight anyway, so he decided to make the best of it. He wondered if Em was having the same problem and was actually surprised that she insisted they spend the last few nights apart. He hadn't slept well all week because of it. He could barely hear what Taylor was saying to him over the volume of the music and for a private party, this place was packed. He nodded lamely at Tay, acting like he'd heard what he'd said and took a long pull off his beer. Emma and Jenny were a bundle of giggles as they nagged Kim to join them. "Come ON Kimmie...we KNOW you have it in you. Just think about what you're gonna do to the man when you're finally on your honeymoon." Jenny teased. "We CAN'T do this without you. It just wouldn't be right." "Yeah Kimmie.." Emma chimed in, "just 'cause I owe the man a favor for keepin' my ass out of jail doesn't mean you have to make me do this alone. I can't believe I'm actually nervous." she laughed. "No way Emma! YOU'RE nervous?" Jenny teased. "You do this for a living." she shook her head. "It's not the same, Jen. I'm usually on a set full of people and ZAC is usually elsewhere, not front and center." she told her friend. "OHHH..okaaaayyy.." Kim teased. "And YOUR honeymoon is WAAAY closer than mine. Think about THAT." she giggled. "Yeah.." Emma sighed, making the other two burst into hysterical laughter. "Oh shut UP!" Emma giggled and turned to finish getting dressed. Zac was feeling downright annoyed. All he wanted to do was go home and think about Emma. He missed her and couldn't wait until morning, the day he'd make her his wife, legally, in all ways. The day she'd tattooed her body with his name proved she was his forever, but he wanted to be sure the WORLD knew she was HIS. He took another pull off his beer, set the bottle on the counter and went to find Bob, to thank him for the party and say goodnight. He found him near the stage area, the stage having been rennovated since there ws no way he'd just run a bar, it was still a strip bar, just one with more class than Danny could have mustered. "Hey man.." Zac grinned. "Yo Zacstud. Need another beer? Wanna lose some money while your woman's not looking? Whazzup dude?" Kid teased. "Nah man. I was actually gonna take off. I am getting married tomorrow, can you imagine what she'd do if I was late?" he chuckled. "You're whipped boy, just fuckin' whipped." Bob laughed. "Just hang out a while longer. The main entertainment hasn't even started yet." He turned his head and yelled, "Hey Candie girl! Bring the man a beer! He's gonna need it.." he chuckled again and jumped up on stage. That was Tay and Ike's cue to grab Zac and seat him front and center of the stage, though they had no idea what Bob had planned for Zac. The anticipation was killing them, knowing what a rowdy Bob was. |
