| League week 24 Manchester United 3 - 1 Crystal Palace Derby day victory This week Old Trafford was set alight with a fantastic 1st half showing from the home team. Raul scored a hat-trick in the 1st 45mins to put the game out of reach off the visitors. The 1st in 8 mins come from some brilliant work from Pires. Playing in a new position behind the front 2 pires broke into the channel and took on Montero. Then cut the ball back to Raul who had lost his marker and poked the ball home with ease. 10 mins later Giggs was put clear down the left by Petrov. he crossed to Raul who came to the front post to recive the ball and diverted it inat the far post across the keeper. A truley magnificent goal. The 3rd was a penalty converted by Raul who shot strat down the middle after montero had handled the ball. The second half was a rather dull affair as both teams made changes but city did pull a goal back through Gary Speed. Its another 3 points in the bag and thats all that matters at this stage of the season as we try to claw back some points from the team above us. |
