Comments Karl was with the club for many years, from under ten right up to senior football where his talent was never questioned. He took charge of the Under 8 team with Ciaran 3 years ago, where he stayed until his talent on the pitch was noticed and he received a scholarship to play football with Thomas University in North Florida. During his time in charge he demanded every player give 110% and tried to encourage a passing style of play...something which we are seeing the benefits of now. His no nonsense image was something that was drilled into the players and the thought of giving up never entered his head, and if it entered the players heads, he would let them know all about it in the dressing room.
He is currently playing regularly in a team which attracts players from all over the world, and by all accounts he is standing out. Karl will be badly missed, but hopefully he will return someday with new coaching methods to improve the team. He gets on great with all of the lads, and they would all admit the feeling is mutual. He has been quoted as saying "the hardest thing about leaving was leaving the young lads behind".
