Retired Weyrwoman Irela's Persona Sheet

Played by: BoD

Name: Irela
Age: 53
Gender: squid
Sexuality: hetero
Rank: retired Weyrwoman

Physical/Personality Description: Irela looks a bit unusual for a Southern dragonrider. She's not got a tan, she's actually rather pale. Her hair is mostly grey, always tied up in a neat bun, and has some wisps of blonde still left. Her eyes are a dull greenish-brown color. She stands at 5'4", 155 lbs, partly from dragonrider's muscle, and partly from too many cookies, though she isn't chubby or fat, she's not a skinny one either. Irela doesn't exactly slouch, but she's not an erect person either. She always seems to have an air of comfort about her, like she's always relaxed, always lounging.
Irela looks like the nice grandmotherly type of figure. Which, really, she probably should have been a grandmother and never a Weyrwoman in a Southern Weyr. When she was the Weyrwoman, Irela almost never had anything to do with the dragonriders. B'rel always took care of that. She did, and still does, spend a lot of time in the lower caverns, "keeping things straight and keeping the records." Even so, not much seems to be done with her, and she never asked Weyrwoman Amara if she perhaps wanted the job. As a matter of fact, Amara has got the Headman reporting only to her. And if anyone dares critiques her work or what she does? Oooh, the tantrum fits! She seems to think she works just as hard or harder than anyone else in the Weyr and her work is always perfect. Neither is the case at all, but one doesn't seem to get anywhere with her arguing on the point.
If Irela likes you, she's the kindest, gentlest sort of person. She isn't a gossip, and has a good listening ear. She can actually be quite friendly and will do favors for people. She's quite willing to help her friends out. Ah, but, don't get on her bad side. Don't irk dear old Irela. She may not be a gossip, but she learned a bit of tongue-slashing techniques from B'rel over the seven years, and her cold shoulder sometimes drops dagger-like icicles. Be good to ol' Irela, and you'll have some good leverage in the Weyr, especially as it has been proven that she can convince B'rel over matters after awhile. Be bad to ol' Irela, though, and watch things get difficult. Careful walking, everyone. Careful.

Family: n/a

History: Irela impressed at Ista Weyr at the very young age of 12, something which quickly heightened her opinion of herself, and was only confirmed by everyone she came in contact with. She did well as the goldrider at Ista Weyr, and as the Junior Weyrwoman. Her dragon rose, and produced good, though never great clutches. She was average. They figured they could ship her off to the South, afterall, she had all the leadership training, all should have worked well.
Renarth didn't rise on time, and wehn she finally did a turn and a half later, it was a brown to catch her. A turn later, it was Bronze Burrith's catch. Both clutches were small, with eggs not even hatching and no gold being produced, these were the only two times she rose, and has been spending the rest of her time twiddling around Ista Weyr, mostly helping in the Lower Caverns.

Dragon Info

Dragon Name: Renarth
Age: 41
Color: gold
Hatched at: Ista
Physical/Personality Description: Ah, Renarth, the Queen who Failed. Embarressed her home Weyr so much that they cursed it as a Wayward one. Renarth has a faded glory sort of luck to her, and that very attitude. Her hide looks like it had once been a solid golden color without any blemish, and now looks sort of faded, and holds the normal-type of thread scars, except instead of these scars looking like admirable things won from good flight battles, they take away from Renarth's appearance.
Likewise, Renarth's personality has that sort of grainy, faded texture. She's very interested in herself, in speaking about her beautiful hide, or the fact that her joints bother her and she doesn't fly as well as she would like to anymore. Maybe at one time all the dragons cared, and wooed over her, maybe at one time she was the best thing around to talk about, but now it's just annoying. Habit has her thinking she basks in glory, it hasn't caught up with Renarth that she is now only a shadow of What Was.
Like her rider, she becomes cross easily. Dragons whose riders Irela doesn't like, Renarth doesn't like, and dragons who insult her sense of pride also get the cold-shoulder and angry snappings if they attempt to speak to her.
