I currently use a home built Lehman type sensor and feed the voltage to a home built amplifier/low pass filter. This is then feed via coax to the Shack and converted from voltage to tone via a VCO. The tone is then sent to the PC and the wave form is displayed via the PC sound card and FFTDSP software.

The Image at left was taken December 30 1997. The center trace is my lehman and the one to the right and left is from a remote relay site the I receive on 167.805 on a scanner. These are mixed and then feed into the sound card.
This image was a quake at Mamoth lakes and was a 3.8.
Eventualy I hope to have a computer dedicated to just monitoring quakes with EMON or some other event driven software. The next step is an A/D converter board.
