A Tragic Story

Muhammad the camel and Curt the turtle
Were on their way to Calcutta.
They'd walked for forty miles that day
And felt like melted butter.
Curt made first break of silence,
"Oh, so hard it is to travel.
"The heat is really killing me.
"Only one could live here and that's the devil.
"Yes, the desert is a dangerous place," said Muhammad,
"Here is nothing but heat and sand.
They kept on walking; feeling even more exhausted,
And there was no one around to give a helping hand.
Soon came dusk.
And then night came crawling.
Both of our heroes were incredibly shocked
At the speed with which the temperature was falling.
They wandered about all night long
For there was no oasis yet in sight,
And Curt could not live without water.
Besides - the desert gets freezing at night.
They walked and walked until dawn.
Then they suddenly stopped.
They had started arguing
About which dune to go up.
The air was getting thick
With aggressive determination.
Neither could agree on a compromise, and
Thus they never reached their destination.

Moralities of the story:
1. Don't waste time by arguing with one another!
2. Never enter a desert without checking the weather forecast!
3. Do not cross the street without looking for cars, paperboys, flying saucers and killer bees first!
