Packaging Tricks
Instructions: Bring in your favourite (empty) cereal box and indicate the price you paid for the item. Answer the following questions: 1. Why do you like this cereal? (be specific) 2. Do you think it’s nutritious? 3. How does it compare nutritionally with other cereals? (make sure they are different) 4. How does it compare economically ($) with a more/less nutritious cereal? 5. How did you find out about this cereal? 6. Were you influenced to buy it by advertising on TV or by its package (package trick)? 7. Did the advertisements make you want to buy this cereal? (if yes, how?) You are to create your own exciting packaging for an imaginary new cereal and present it to the class. You must use packaging tricks to attract buyers.
