INSTRUCTIONS

Independently read the assigned story. After this, you will be required to answer the following three questions separately. Each should
have multiple paragraphs.

1.Discuss the qualities the character(s) possess and support it with evidence from the text. (Character Qualities Chart)

2. Predict what will happen next if the story were to continue and support it with evidence from the text.

3. Summarize the story from the perspective of the character. Write it as a journal entry. Make sure you identify the character clearly.

- Full writing process (brainstorm, organize brainstorm, rough draft, self assess, revise and edit, good copy, self assess), handed in
on a separate sheet of paper
- All responses on the final copy must be clearly labeled so the teacher can easily identify which question you are answering
- Each step to the writing process will be handed in
