Shared Reading Responses #1

Within your Shared reading group you will take turns reading the text with your Partner(s). After this, you
will be required to answer the following three questions in point form. These point form responses must be
thorough enough to clearly demonstrate your ability to interpret and analyze the text.

1.Discuss the qualities the character(s) possess and support it with evidence from the text. (Character
Qualities Chart)

2.Predict what will happen next if the story were to continue and support it with evidence from the text.

3.What motivated the character(s) to act the way he or she did? (support it with evidence from the text)

- Use one language notebook for your shared reading responses only. Do NOT use the same notebook for
your guided reading responses!
- Answers must be neatly written in GOOD COPY format and handed in on a separate sheet of paper
- All responses on the final copy must be clearly labeled so the teacher can easily identify which question
you are answering
