Dear Parents,

Welcome to a new school year! My name is Mr. Borg and I am very much looking forward to teaching your child this year. We are looking forward to sharing an exciting and busy year.

The Grade 6 level brings an increased sense of responsibility, leadership and expectations. Since more will be expected of students individually, they will be held accountable for their work habits, work completion, ability to meet deadlines and observance of school rules. As we work together to continue to instil in each child a sense of confidence, self-esteem and responsibility, it is our hope that each child will strive for his/her highest potential.

Weekly notes will outline the units we are studying, as well as classroom assignments, assessment (that you need to be aware of) and activities. Throughout each term, you can expect to receive comprehensive feedback (summary sheets) regarding your child's curriculum achievements; you are invited to keep them for future reference. Also, on a daily and weekly basis you can keep in touch with what is going on in our classroom by simply going to my website: www.oocities.org/wborg2003/homeroom.html

If, at any time during the year, you should have questions, please do not hesitate to contact me. I look forward to working together to assist your child to achieve in all aspects of education.

Walter Borg
