Dear Parents,
The students and I have been familiarizing ourselves with classroom and school routines. I have outlined my expectations regarding school/classroom rules and code of behaviour.
In Math we are working on a Numeration unit (Chapter 2). Students are responsible for filling out a homework tracking sheet daily, along with the attached graph. In Science we are doing work on a Space unit. Also, for literacy we are establishing healthy attitudes and habits in the areas of reading and writing through worksheets and individual conferencing.
As usual Devins will be holding a curriculum night. This will take place on Thursday, September 21st from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.. It will be beneficial if you could attend as I will be reviewing all classroom procedures. I will update you with specific details, as early as possible next week, with regards to the exact time and place our meeting will take place.
