Lewis
Lewis grew up in rural Dorset, where there was fuck all to do except read. She went straight from ‘See Spot Run’ to devouring her Dad’s sci-fi collection, and was extremely disappointed to learn, at age 10, that there is not in fact an inhabited moonbase with doors that go ‘schhhct’.
Lewis wrote her first novella age 12, which had a beginning, a middle and an end. Since peaking so early she has found ends distinctly hard to come by.
After a spell in publishing in Sydney, she moved to Cardiff where she did a degree in Geology (don’t ask), before getting a job in science publishing in London.
Becoming fascinated by Welsh after hearing the Super Furry Animals’ Torri Fy Ngwallt yn Hir, Lewis has been learning the language for what seems like aeons. She runs the Clwb Malu Cachu web site, and swears that Welsh is easier to learn than French. Honest, guv.
Lewis has freckles, blonde hair, eyes of variable colour (often red), and is left-handed. She is also learning to lucid-dream, although frankly success may result in her never actually getting out of bed. So no change there then.
