October 2001
As told by Scott
Just sit right back and I'll tell you a tale.  A tale of a fateful trip...Oh wait, that's not really true, nothing really bad happened.  So scratch that first line.

Anyway, we decided to go off-roading in October.  Jason had found a new site in southern Missouri (I'd say it was more like northern Arkansas) to do some four-wheelin'.

Jeff picked me up at my house at 5 AM!  We drove to our usual meeting point to meet the others.  From here we left at about 7 AM (give or take an hour) and made it to the site at about 10 AM, so it was a long day of driving for me already.

I was driving Jason's Desert Tan '99 Wrangler Sahara, Aaron was driving the Canyonero (1974 Blazer, more on that elsewhere), and Jeff was driving his 2001 Wrangler Sport.

Enough with the narrative... on to the photos
Here are some pictures of Jeff's old Wrangler.  The Jeep is a 2001 Wrangler Sport with the 4.0L I-6 and the NV-3550 5 speed transmission.  Modifications include the addition of the Teraflex 3" suspension lift, Slip Yoke Eliminator, Rock Rails, Fuel Tank skid plate, and Steering box skid plate.  The front end boasts a Warn xd9000i winch and PIAA driving lights.
Tires include 33" TSL's that make quite the racket on the highway, but not as much as the next vehicle....
