Baron & Baroness: Thank you for 12th Night presence.
Seneschale: Great time at 12th Night.

St. Bunstable's: 14 people at last mtg. Reserve place at 1/16 feast soon. Working on poss. joint activities with Wittanhaven.

Porte de l'Eau: Gearing up for Day of Dance 3/13. joint social w/Wyewood 2/6 at 2PM.

Wyewood: Enough fighter interest to start practice. Scribal gathering 4/17. Working on not conflicting mtg. dates w/ PdIE.

Chatelaine: Need Gold Key deputy for storage space. Will lend clothes to Highland Grove for May Crown.

Chief Scribe: Assigned 3 charters, waiting for rest. Scrolls distributed.

Chirurgeon: 1 injury at 12th Night. Kingdom may dismiss office of Waterbearer (please write to dispute).

Chronicler: eLeaf mailing list approved for activity list and minutes.

Constable: Has lost & found to be claimed.

Exchequer: Current report presented.

Master of Lists: Will attend Ursulmas and Western Regional Bardic. Advance notice needed for lists at events.

Master of Rapier: Madrone has first White Scarf.

Minister of A&S: Lady Michelle developing volunteer database for demos. Please send info.

Mistress of Stables: Need Marshall for Western Regional Bardic

Red Tree Herald: Hosting Kingdom Herald’s Symposium in 2000 -- need site. Looking for Field Herald and Town Crier deputies.

Culinary: Very busy. Reconstruction 1/21 at Robyn/Aedla’s. 2/3 bus. mtg. Anne-Marie speaking on radio show again.

Dance: Looking for guildhead replacement
Drama: Working on banquet production. Auditions soon. Entertainers: Nothing happening right now.

Glee Club: Meetings may be moving to Fridays. Membership requirements may also be changing.

Ithra: Equestrian Ithra in Lions’ Gate 2/27-28. Scribal Ithra in Wyewood -- classes over 6 week period, basic skills.

Mad Brewers: Spiritmakers Guild of An Tir trying to re-form; will get in contact. Period brewing demo 1/16.

Sewing:1/25 at Tierzah’s house.
Serjeants: Looking for trials autocrat.

Old Business: Western Regional Bardic still looking for activity sponsors -- discussed details for Madrone participation.

New Business: Sir Brand: Suggests Thanksgiving merchant demo. Gabrielle: Minor equipment change in chirurgeon’s kit. Margareta: Paper shields being replaced by wood thanks to Gerhardt. Sonnet: Would like to tighten up restrictions for bouncing people from mailing lists.

Events: Lionhearts Discussed ways to reduce camping cost, incl.. baronial subsidy. Baronial Banquet Fee $12.50.

Baron & Baroness: Reminder about Last Court.
Baron & Baroness II: Thanks to transition helpers.
Seneschale: Dragon’s Laire needs help with March bardic, asks for activity sponsors.
St. Bunstable’s: Cat & Cup made profit. Next event is St. Bunstable’s Feast 1/16, semi-potluck (main dish provided).
Porte de l’Eau: Good time had by all at Sven’s Valhalla. Gearing up for Day of Dance 3/13.
Wyewood: 3rd Annual Bardic went very well. Corset workshop had 7 attendees. Experimental lthra upcoming (scribal).
Chief Scribe: New Chief Scribe is Gwendolyn of Castle Court. Thanks from barony to Valerienne and baronial scribes.
Chronicler: Nothing major.
Exchequer: Current report presented.
Lists: Karl the Stargazer continuing in position. Fighter cards will be available at Twelfth Night.
Mistress of Stables: St. Bunstable’s has new marshall, need info. No problems otherwise. Fighting going strong.
Master of Rapier: Quiet month.
Pages: No official applicants yet.
Red Tree Herald: Working on new tabard.

Book deputy: Badger. Looking for Town Crier deputy.
Brewers: Meeting quarterly. Newsletter a possibility.
Culinary: Next meeting 12/1 7 reconstruction at Eden’s (also baronial banquet). 1st Wed. in Jan. at Teresa’s house.
Dance: 8 people last meeting.
Drama: Sgt. Terrick de Rijkaard new guild head. Proposed budget discussed.
Entertainers: No upcoming meeting.
Glee Club: 12/18 meeting cancelled. Generally 1st Mon, last Mon & 3rd Fri.
lthra: Lost money on last session. Next lthra to be when? Calendar is filling up. Upon request.
Sewing: 12/28 at Tierzah’s house.
Serjeants: Date set for next trials 9/18-19/99; need autocrat. Met with new baroness.

Old Business: Drama budget discussed, Issues with chartering guilds.

New Business: Student discount sponsorship discussed.

Events: Lionhearts— Ramon’s bid renewed for 6/26, several sites under consideration; bid approved for Enumclaw: Baronial Banquet — Site found in Renton for 3/6. Bid approved. Regional Bardic/Dragon’s Laire — Baronial participation discussed - probably sponsorship of heavy! Light fighting.

Next business meeting is January 11, 1998.

Baron & Baroness: Polling starts tonight. Orphan’s Thanksgiving at Newhall. Please help the new B&B with tasks that need doing.

Seneschale: Needs copies of all officers’ membership cards ASAP.
St. Bunstable: Getting new members. Feast of St. B in January, arranging tours of UW library special holdings.
Porte de l’Eau: Gearing up for Sven’s Valhalla. Day of Dance in early spring. Fight practice on Thursdays.
Wyewood: Moving to Regional justice Ctr. Community room. Next 1st Friday is 3rd Annual Bardic.
Chatelaine: Gold Key returned after last event except for feast gear.
Chief Scribe: Stepping down, applications being accepted. Scriptoriums in Wyewood and Porte de l’Eau guilds.
Chirurgeon: 1 faIl at feast last week.
Chronicler: Baron did NovemberLeaf.
Constable: Received 2 headsets from Karel de Ermutigender.
Exchequer: Barony solvent; would like monies from events turned in promptly
Lists: Karl the Stargazer has applied for Lists; has one volunteer for Deputy, after training.
Mistress of Stables: Fighters happy with current site unless better one is found.
Master of Rapier Combat: Attended Known World Rapier Academy; took classes.
Pages: Potential candidates for office coming along.
Red Tree Herald: Need to do forms with previous Herald.
Arts & Sciences: Princess Laurellen taught costume classes at Rapier Academy; Ithra needs more students.
Brewers: Setting up meeting on Eastside. Owen the Merry working on re-creating beer from 1570.
Culinary: Eden translating Italian manuscript. Thinking Italian food for next Baronial Banquet.
. Dance: Attendance down.
Drama: Three candidates for guild head. MacBeth went well. Stage weapons made by Sir Brand.
Entertainers: . Want Barony to establish guild budget. MacBeth went well.
Glee Club: Working on Christmas carols.
Sewing: 4th Monday at Orfhlaith’s.
Ithra: Need to get more students.
Serjeants: In holding pattern.
Old Business: Reimburse jean Louis for Crier ad $60 OK. Still need postal deputy for Crier.

New Business:
Edward the Stuffy — Brought costumes for anyone. New Rex—$.25 each.

Julian — Would like to change Baronial calendar and have A&S in Feb., Lionhearts in May, Baronial Banquet in November after tourney season; logical time to give awards etc. Discussion followed. Would mean 2 banquets in transition year. Cat & Cup willing to keep Bardic Championship. Keep all martial championships kept at Lionhearts - good venue, encourages relationships between heavy and rapier fighters.
Drama — asked for $70 for finely crafted stage weapons for MacBeth and future uses. Proposed to use $70 from Sam ham for this; put other $20 into Drama budget. Decision next meeting, per custom.
Sir Brand—Trying to set up demo at new Elizabeth movie. Also will bring more orange cotton bedspreads to lthra for any takers.
Cymbric—offered her talents as seamstress. Has 12 string guitar for sale.
Last Court — January 2. Has been published in Leaf.Afternoon court, followed by party at Newhall.
Lionhearts Bid - Justin presented 2nd reading of his bid. June at Chelan county fairground. Considerable discussion followed on location and what people want to have at Lionhearts. Those who want a closer location to find one ASAP and relay info to Justin; otherwise his bid stands.

Special Note:
Madrone’s 30th anniversary will be in the year 2000. Start planning now for special event.

Events:
Cat and Cup — Turned in proceeds to Exchequer.
Samhain — Went well. $90 profit. Autocrat suggested part of profit go to Drama Guild because MacBeth was performed there. Brought lost and found to meeting.
lthra — Grand lthra, 76 tracks, many open classes.
Baronial Banquet - Two bids. Bianca bid; checking locations. Italian food. Lord Marco Valentine also bid. After discussion, they combined their bids and will co-autocrat. Drama is planning special project for next banquet. Looking at weekend in March for date.

Next business meeting is December 14, 1998.

St. Bunstables: Feast was great fun. Working with newcomers. Project night & business meeting may separate.

Porte de l'Eau: Gearing up for Day of Dance 3/13. 50 people at joint canton social. Location good for future events (free).

Wyewood: 35 people at weekly social. Light/heavy fighter training. Scribal Ithra now open to all. Roderigo is new herald.

Chief Scribe: PdlE scriptorium Friday. Possible baronial scriptorium?

Chiurgeon: No injuries. New kit purchased.

Entertainers: Proposed creation of Dean of Bards office as purely administrative (poss. deputy of A&S Minister). Discussion tabled to next meeting.

Glee Club: Meetings 1st & 3rd Fridays. Will sing at banquet.

Herbal: 6 people stopped by table at Wyewood social. Will continue monthly.

New Business: Sir Timothy: a) Suggested committee to discuss calendar (include seneschal) needs volunteers : planning calendar to be introduced in Leaf. b) Discussion on new baronial award still happening. c) Possibility of monthly baronial social. St. Bunstables: Meetings 1st Mon., Project Night 3rd Mon. Spring Fling 5/8 - fencing, A&S championship. Demo 3/16.

Porte de l'Eau: Day of Dance 3/13.Other events (fighting) happening.

Wyewood: Socials continuing, w/ serjeant workshops. Sewing on hold. Scribal workshops 4/1,8. 4/17 Scribal Gathering.

Chatelaine: Lots of newcomers. Need Gold Key silverware and decent men's clothing.

Chief Scribe: Banquet scrolls co mpleted. PdlE scriptorium will do Crier artwork. Support Wyewood scribing.

Chiurgeon: No injuries. Correction - it's the society board waterbearer position that may be deleted.

Chronicler: Printing problems & major computer problems.

Constable: Great job on banquet parking.

Exchequer: Report presented.

Master of Rapier: Fencing continuing. Application received for position.

Minister of A&S: Rauthlfr new A&S kingdom champion.Need volunteers for Kent Canterbury.

Mistress of Stables: Fight practice going strong. Need chairs, eric rope for Ermine Cross. Article in P-I.

Red Tree Herald: Not much happening.

Waterbearer: No fighting at present. Heavy fighting at Ermine Cross.

Culinary: Thanks for letting us feed you. Reconstruction 3/18 at Genot's, 4/7 at Susan's.

Dance: Meeting still happening. Margaretta may be taking over.

Drama: Directorial debut went well. Boxers potential fundraiser.

Entertainers: Thanks to Glee Club for being prepared to sing at banquet, and Drama Guild for performing.

Glee Club: Mtgs. 1st & 3rd Fri. for April. Schedule change for May.

Ithra: General and costuming Ithra information upcoming.

Mad Brewers: Good competition at banquet. Next meeting end of March. Also, step-by-step workshop upcoming.
