The Seneschale Tells Wye
Greetings!
Good news! Wyewood will be holding weekly Socials on Sunday afternoons starting February 7. Each week we intend to have an informal time working on projects, catching up on news, eating of course, and whatever else pops into mind. There will be semi organized Arts & Science activities, as well as Heavy/light/Rapier Fighter Instruction and practice. Please contact Elisabeth for A & S Info, or Cire for Fighter info, or me for general info. As I write this, we are arranging an indoor site in Auburn, open from 1:00 pm until 5:00 pm. Site info and directions will be posted to Madrone List as soon as we have the details. I encourage everyone to attend at least a few of these gatherings and give us your input on what you like, or what we might do better. In addition, for the month of February only, the Canton Business Meeting will be held at the Social on the 14th at 4:00 pm.
Those of us that made it to Twelfth Night had a grand time. Our Social (AKA Party) on Saturday night was once again a big hit and one of the high points in the evenings festivities. Looks like we have another tradition started. Way to Go Wyewood! Speaking of Socials, our February Social will be a "Meet the Neighbors" day with Porte de l’Eau on the 6th. Aedla and Moyra have set up some interesting games, a cloven fruit (making) contest, dancing and once again, a potluck! Contact Aedla for more information. Hope to see you here.
A few members of our Canton are entering items in the Kingdom Arts & Sciences Championship Feb. 26-28. Come join us in supporting our friends.
Lastly, for the months February-April only, the Wyewood Scriptorium will become an Ithra Campus. Due to lthra regulations, persons not registered for classes are not allowed on campus. Therefore we ask that people who have not pre -registered for the classes wait until the May Scriptorium to join us. If you are interested in attending the classes, please remember to contact Lusanna della Casa (Chancellor In Training of Ithra's, and Tamlyn for the upcoming Scribal Gathering on April 17. Thank you.
Yours In Service,
Celeste de la Houssaye
