I am Worth Civils, a recent graduate of the University of North
Carolina at Chapel Hill, where I was a double major in journalism and geography and a minor
in Spanish.
I am also in Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity,
was a campus tour guide and a writer for
The Daily Tar Heel and the Carolina Alumni Review. This past summer, I was in Boston, working as an intern for Triangle Publishing . I am still working with them, although now out of the home back in Chapel Hill, where I also do some work for LocalTechWire.com.
Originally, I am from Morehead City, North
Carolina, along the central coast, but moved about 75 miles
northwest to Greenville, North
Carolina, the home of East Carolina University and
some 60,000 people, when I was 15.
I graduated from Junius H. Rose High
School, where I was president of the service-oriented Interact Club, played soccer and was on
the Quiz Bowl team.
I also enjoy reading non-fiction, looking at maps and playing tennis. |
