A Brief list Pros and Cons of Christian Missionaries from the point of view of a Japanese ruler

We have in our midst a serious problem, one that must be rectified immediately.  Too many foreigners are entering our country, bringing new ideas, literature, even religion.  Yes, this has a few benefits, but our culture is changing too rapidly.  Many Japanese have already abandoned their faith in our system.  These radicals must be dealt with, or we will have no culture of our own, just a mix of many different European influences.
Probably the most serious problem is that of the many Christian missionaries that have appeared recently.  They aim to sway our faith in Buddhism/Shinto, and already have in many individuals.  This is a blasphemous religion, one that worships a false god.  They have no respect for their elders, and assume that we shouldn’t either.  These Christians are completely unwilling to even acknowledge our gods, to them it is impossible for there to be any higher being other than their “Christ”.  They have no interest in our people’s well being, only the spreading of their own ignorant religion.
However, these missionaries could be beneficial in a few ways.  Many Japanese have already converted to Christianity, and as a result have regained lost hope.  Some Japanese see this new religion as an undeniable truth, redemption from a life of sin.  Another possible positive result is a morale boost.  Some have become ever more loyal to Japan, even after converting.  There are a few things we could learn from Christianity.
In conclusion, I believe the disadvantages of the missionaries far outweigh the advantages.  What Japan needs is isolation from the corrupted views of the rest of the world.  These heretics must be expelled from our country immediately.  No good can come of them, we can only trust our own.
