FAQ

ACADEMICS

  1.  Who can help me with course selection?

*  The best person to consult when making your schedule is your counselor.  It also helps to see your teachers and ask your parents for help.  Lenape's  Program of Studies lists all of the courses available at Lenape.  (Pick up a copy in the Counseling Office.)

  2.  How can I get extra help in a subject?

*  If you feel a course is too difficult for you, first talk to your teacher.  They may be able to give you some good advice.  If that doesn't work, talk to your counselor.  (There is a policy at Lenape that if you enroll in an honors course, you must remain in the class for at least 6 weeks.)

3.  When do I receive my report card?

*  Report cards are distributed every 9 weeks.  (four distributions per year)  The final report card of the year is mailed home.

  4.  What is a transcript?

*  A transcript is a record of your academic progress throughout your high school career.  It also keeps track of your courses, grades, activities, sports and special awards.  You should see your counselor periodically to review your transcript.

  5.  What are interims?

*  Interims are mid-marking period progress reports.  They are mailed 4 times a year to parents/guardians.

  6.  What is the grading system at Lenape?

*  The grading system is as follows: 90-100=A, 80-89=B, 70-79=C, 60-69=D, and below 60 is an F.

  7.  How do I make a counselor appointment?

*  Go into the counseling office and make an appointment with the secretary.  You will receive a pass in homeroom  the day of your appointment.

  8.  How do I get into the National Honor Society?
