In addition you should be able to do the following:

1) Identify the mks units of the physical quantities that we have studied. Examples: mass – meter, force – newton, electric field strength – newtons per coulomb, etc. (matching, multiple choice, or problems)

2) Convert between commonly used metric prefixes such as milli-, centi-, kilo-, and micro-.(problems)

3) Identify the symbols of all of the physical quantities and units that we have studied. Examples mass – (m), time – (t), momentum – (p), etc. (matching, multiple choice, or problems)

You will be asked to solve problems using the following concepts or laws.

1) Work – These may include inclines, angles, and free body diagrams where you will be asked to determine the net work, work done by friction, work done by gravity, etc.

2) Newton's Laws of Motion: Net Forces, F=ma, etc.

3) Energy

4) The Work – Energy Theorem

5) Law of Conservation of Energy

6) Impulse – Momentum Relationship

7) Law of Conservation of Momentum
