Have you been watching the Olympics?
It's incredible to watch the athletes perform, whether it's gymnastics, swimming, running, etc.
This morning I read the following in the sports page of the newspaper:

Olympic  Medal  Count

                                     Russia                     12               11                16               39
                                     France                     12               12                6                 30

                                     Romania                   9                4                  4                 17

I was thinking that a gold medal should count for more than a silver or bronze and maybe we should be counting points and not just how many medals each country has won.  If we let each:

                                                       Gold    -   3 points
                                                       Silver   -   2 points
                                                       Bronze -   1 point

What would the Olympic Medal Points be for the countries above?
