I want to make a box as a gift for a friend and
put nickels on the top face of the box near the edge for decoration. The
box measures 8 inches by 10 inches. If I place one nickel for every
inch, how much will it cost me to decorate the box?
For 4th and 5th graders: If I put a nickel, then a dime, then a quarter, and then a penny and use that pattern all the way around the box starting with a nickel in the upper left corner, how much will it cost to decorate the box?
