I made a basket of flowers using yellow and red flowers.  There were twice as many yellow flowers as red flowers.  I counted 18 flowers altogether.  How many red flowers and how many yellow flowers were there?


















For 4th and 5th graders:  Yellow flowers cost 12 cents each and red flowers cost 15 cents each.  How much did it cost me to buy flowers for my basket?
