I opened my umbrella and heard the first drop of rain.  The next minute I counted 2 drops of rain.  The third minute I counted 3 drops of rain and of course, I waited and carefully counted 4 drops of rain during the fourth minute.  If this pattern continues, how many drops of rain hit my umbrella altogether in 8 minutes?
