Former glamour-model and Miss Belgium, Goedele Liekens was chosen by bosses at Vlaamse Televisie Maatschappij (Belgium Society Television) to host De Zwakste Schakel. The show premiered in September 2001. 

Goedele had long had a history for being rather arrogant, and coming across with a "can't be bothered", almost bitchy attitude. And this isn't her first presenting role, for she presented risque sex shows on Belgian TV and is famous for being very open about sexuality, and has written the infamous book "69 questions over sex".
