A Marriageable Young Girl
Marie Bourdon
(1634-1705)
Marie Bourdon was born on March 05, 1634 in the Parish of St Candle le Jeune, Rouen, Seine, Normandy, France; the daughter of Louis Bourdon and Madeleine Prunier.  She arrived in the Quebec Colony as a Filles A Marier, contracted to be the bride of Jean Gloria.  They were married January 09, 1652 in Ville De Quebec.

Jean was born about about 1630 in the Parish of St. Remi de Dieppe, Rouen, Seine-Maritime, France; the son of Pierre Gloria and Perette Vaultier.  He and Marie would have six children before his death on October 15, 1665 in Ville De Quebec:

Infant Gloria - Was born on January 03, 1653 and died the same day in Ville De Quebec.

Marie Gloria - Was born on March 14, 1654 in Ville De Quebec and died on November 13, 1687 at Pointe-Aux-Trembles.  She married Jean-Baptiste Toupin and the couple had seven children.

Anne Gloria - Was born on October 17, 1655 and died before 1666 in Ville De Quebec.

Pierre Gloria - Was born on November 09, 1657 and died before 1666 in Ville De Quebec.

Marguerite Gloria - Was born on October 19, 1659 in Ville De Quebec.  She became a nun and died at Hotel Dieu on April 07, 1697.

Madeleine Gloria - Was born on July 07, 1662 in Ville De Quebec.  She became a nun and eventually Mother Superior; dying at Hotel Dieu on July 26, 1724.

The widow Marie would marry Toussaint Toupin, widowed from Marguerite Boucher and a soldier with the Subercase Company; on June 03, 1669 in Ville De Quebec, and the couple would have three children before his death on August 10, 1676.

Jeanne Toupin - Was born on February 09, 1670 in Ville De Quebec and died on May 18, 1711 in L'Ange-Gardien.  She married Guillaume Guyon and the couple had ten children.

Elisabeth-Ursule Toupin - Was born on May 01, 1672 in Ville De Quebec.  She became a nun and died at Hotel Dieu on on February 21, 1738.

Jean-Toussaint Toupin - Was born on January 07, 1675 and died unknown in Ville De Quebec.

Marie would marry a third time to Jean Charest on November 11, 1680 in Chateau-Richer, but had no children.  She died on April 27, 1705 at Chateau-Richer and Jean followed on April 11, 1706.
