MINUTES OF INVESTMENT CLUB MEETING

MEMBERS PRESENT: Gretchen DuRant, Toni Pinckney, Greg Joseph, Zandra Coles, Nancy Pierre, Renee Patterson, Gwen Goolsby, Preston Younger, Kim Coles, Cheryl Coles, Cheryl Green, Deborah Hauges, Donald Small & Karen Richardson

MEMBERS ABSENT:Lee Hollie

GUESTS:Tabatha Williams and Janice Hackney

MEETING COMMENCED: 2:50 p.m.

TOPICS DISCUSSED:

• Minutes of previous meeting were read.

• Remainder of membership dues were collected.

• Introduction of guests: Tabatha Williams & Janice Hackney.

• Should club maintain membership cap at 15 or raise it to 17?

• After extended discussion the majority membership voted for the following:
  a) to cap membership at 17 (WELCOME new members, Tabatha & Janice);
  b) 5 day grace period for payment of monthly dues;
  c) $15.00 late fee (after grace period);
  d) mandatory phone call for lateness and/or absence;
  e) meeting time to begin at 3:00 instead of 5:00.

• General poll was taken among membership to ascertain what services each individual could offer to the club.
• Information obtained from E Trade and NAIC was presented to membership by Cheryl Coles.
• Renee Patterson and Preston Younger were assigned the duty of researching Full Service and Discount Service Brokerages. They will present their findings at June 25th meeting.
• Discussed obtaining a Secured On-Line Bulletin Board so that members could post information and communicate with each other.
• The subject of investigating the Top 30 Blue Chip companies was touched upon with further discussion reserved for the next meeting.
• It was decided that the membership would alternate bringing refreshments to each meeting.
