History
Logan was part of the Weapon X project developed during the Canadian/USA border conflicts. He was to be in the elite troops of Canada using the Super-Soldiers serum stolen from the United States. But the scientists at the project lost control of him and his fellow Weapon X 'patients'. They escaped into the wilderness and the area was cornered off while conventional forces dealt with their military difficulties with the U.S. The three ex Weapon X savages were left in the Canadian wilderness, and formed the Pack. They crossed paths with the Six when Havok brought them into Canadian airspace, they were shot down and
attacked by the Pack. The Pack were eventually defeated by the Six and Alpha Flight, and then taken into Canadian custody.
Logan managed to escape his captors and in the process sliced up Dr. Hudson. He headed back into the wilderness with his intellect and memory's slowly returning. As he ran his senses were dragging him in one direction, home, where his wife and children lived.
While on a flight to get help for Havok's alleged insanity, Alex tries to steer the Six's Blackbird jet towards his grandparents home, in Alaska, for proof that he is from an other dimension. This takes them into Canada's air space. The Canadians see this as an attack and fire missiles at The Six resulting in the destruction of the Blackbird.
Marvel-Woman, Iceman, The Beast, Bloodstorm, and the Fallen are kidnapped by The Pack, a group of renegade ex-Weapon X operatives -consisting of Wolverine, Sabertooth, and Wildchild. The Pack agree to return the rest of the Six to Havok if he helps them. Havok helps the Pack into a sealed of room where the Weapon X project first took place. Wolverine activates a holographic replay of the creation of The Pack, this sends all of the Pack into a berserker rage and they attack the Six. The Pack appear to be winning until Alpha Flight show up and take the Pack into custody, they give the Six one hour to leave Canada before they are also arrested.
A savage creature (Logan) is on the loose in Pacific Northwest, somewhere on the Canadian border. Whatever is loose has been feeding on the locals cattle, and The Six have all banded together to hunt down the beast and put his rampage to an end. After a long trek they seem to be gaining on the beast, but as the move further and further into the wilderness the realise they are being herded by the creature into a trap. Across the river they spy the beast. Short, furry, with three silver claws protruding from each hand. The creature roar as it escapes further into the woods. As there is no way to follow the hunters turn but are then faced by another taller beast (Sabretooth). This one speaks to them, gives them on name, Creed. before he kills them all.
Back in New York, Jean Grey awakes from a terrible dream, where she foresees the death of her fellow team-mates and the return of a face from her past - Wolverine.
Back in Canada Wolverine emerges from the woods, and finds a log cabin. Using his metal claws, he picks the lock and enters the cabin. Searching for food he heads towards the fridge. As he starts to gorge himself on the food he finds a little girl, his daughter, enters the room. The sudden sight of his little girl causes Logan to be hit by a collage of flash backs. From the time before Weapon X with Jean Grey, his initial capture by Weapon X, and the programming that was forced upon him by the project. With the flash backs triggering the return of his memory Logan smells a familiar scent, that of Creed. Logan leaves the hut and tells his daughter to go back to bed, and heads off to stop Creed before he finds them.
Shortly after Logan leaves the child's mother, Logan's wife (Mariko), enters the room. Noticing the claw marks on their fridge she realises Logan is back, and heads to her room to pack the family's bags.
As Logan manages to head away from the cabin, he is meet by Creed. The pair fight outside a petrol station, with Logan's claws slashing some of the pumps spilling petrol all over. As the fight carries on Creed seems to be winning, but then Logan notices the petrol, and slashes the ground with his claws greeting sparks which light the fire causing the station to explode and Creed to be engulfed in flames. As Logan starts to pick himself up from the fight the Six arrive on the scene and offer to take him back with them to help find out what has happened to him.
Later back in the log cabin, Mariko is still packing her and her childs things when she hears a ring off the doorbell. As she goes to answer the door she is greeted by a slightly charred, very pissed Victor Creed!
Logan the former Pack member is now at Bannerman castle, training outside in the grounds with Havok and Jean Grey. As Logan fights a small group of robots that he created he is visited by Dr. James MacDonald Hudson, also known as the costumed Canadian leader of Alpha Flight and Bossman of the Weapon X project, Vindicator. Upon sight Wolverine launches himself at Hudson planning to kill him, and he is only stopped by the full power of one of Jean Grey's TK bubbles. As Hudson tells him that Creed has kidnapped Mariko and his children Logan backs off. Hudson tells him that they can take him to them, Wolvierine goes and along within him follow Jean and Alex.
As the group enters Canada Logan catches Creed sent and jumps out of their helicopter transport. Jean carries herself and Havok down after him in a Tk bubble and the trio head after Creed.
Meanwhile nearby, another member of the pack searches for Creed, Wildchild. Wildchild caught Creeds sent and found one of Logan's kids. Unfortunately for Kyle, it's a trap. Creed jumps Kyle and slashes away at him, killing him.
Logan separates from Havok and Jean, saying he is going ahead to catch up with Creed. It was another one of Creeds traps as he ambushes Jean and Alex. Taking the pair down quickly and efficiently, and carries Jean of with him claming he wants to make Logan suffer.
Further ahead Logan manages to find his children, but as Havok catches up with him, he tells him it was a set-up. Hearing a scream Logan heads back to Creed leaving Havok in charge of his kids.
Logan catches up with Creed who is holding Jean in one hand and Markio in the other. He offers Logan the choice of which one lives and which one dies, fortunately for Logan he does not need to make a choice. As all the while Creed has been yapping Havok crept up behind him and has been slowly heating up the adamantium in his body. From the burning inside sensation Creed realises the two women, allowing Logan to attack, who with one swift blow slices Creed's head from his body. The group re-group just in time to see a whole load of Canadian Air Force plains heading their way!
Havok, Logan, Jean, and Logan's family are on the run from the Canadian army. When Logan senses the new soldiers known as the Super Soldiers the army has brought in he decides it is time for them to run for it. A short distance away the Super Soldiers land along with their leader and creator the Professor - the head of the Weapon X research facility, the man who lead the scientists that grafted Adamantium onto the bones of Wolverine, Wildchild and Sabertooth, to create Canada's own super-soldiers.
Wolverine fights a Super Soldier, and it is clear that Logan cannot take the man-machine down on his own. Havok and Jean help him, and it takes the combined might of all three heroes to put one Soldier down for good. They decide the are now match for the whole army and run across the border back to America, where they find Cap amongst the unconscious bodies of the Six and the Avengers. The rest of the Six had attempted to cross the border to help their teammates, but the Avengers and the Iron Giant stopped them. The trio run to aid there fallen comrades and Havok ask Cap what happened. The ex-Avenger tells them it was him, just as the Professor and his Super Soldiers appear.
The Professor and his fellow Canadians have crossed the border, bringing them to the attention of the U.S.A.'s armed forces. As the American's start to initiate their airborne defences, Captain America starts to glow and grow, becoming bulkier and bulkier.
