Matt Groening has given him a widow's peak, which he didn't have. However, it's much better than the damned receding hairline (which he also didn't have) that Warners insisted upon giving him.

This faux-Peter appears in the episode "Homer vs. Kidney Trouble" in which Homer's father needs a new kidney, and Homer volunteers to be the donor. At the last minute, he makes a cowardly escape, leaving his dying father on the operating table. Stricken with guilt and bearing a heavy conscience, he joins the "Ship of Lost Souls" (that is, it's established, its name, although the name "Honeybunch" is painted on the outside). Here we find "Man In Smoking Jacket" - A.K.A. Peter! He's adequately convincing -- wine bottle clutched in one small hand, cigarette in the other, with a very full ashtray and a dapper outfit. It's not made quite clear why he has banished himself to the Ship of Lost Souls, but from what is revealed, he did something unspeakably terrible...

Sound Bites (MP3 format)

1. "Who are we? No one. Where are we sailing? Nowhere. Do we even exist?! Who knows!"

2. "...And when Mr. Dinkley saw what I had done, I was banned from the carwash forever."

Is it just me, or does that other guy look like Colonel Haki from 'The Mask of Dimitrios?'
