he theme of the fair, this year, was California Dreamin'. What better way to entertain the fairgoers, but to have a museum chock-full of surfing memorabillia, history of surfing and skateboarding, and a few local retailers. Occasionally I stopped in the museum to check out the autograph sessions with Linda Benson, Tom Curren, Mike Doyle, and a couple others. The museum was also a great place to go on break and sleep. |

Working at the Del Mar Fair had its ups-and-downs. Making tacos wasn't my idea of fun, but I got to work with a lot of awesome kids. Serving over 2,000 people a day, the fair got kinda intense. At one point, I really wished I worked at the Coffee Bar. Nah, they had too much of a soap opera going on. Well, that distinct fair smell still inhibts some of my clothes. |
