WEAVER DATABASE

The Weaver Database is a handy tool for storing descriptions for all the Weavers to see and use as examples for various types of Weaver-related items. It's very easy to copy a description already placed in any sketchbook to the database. And best of all, all it does is /copy/. The description remains safe and sound in your sketchbook.

Type @wdb-help for a list of Weaver Database commands. Please note that the Gather index listed when you type @wbd-view index links directly to the both the Showroom and the Weaver Tent. This way, Weavers can display any items available for purchase inside the Hall itself (the Showroom is off the Entry Hall) or during Gathers, Bazaars, or other events where the Weaver Tent is being used.

Once inside the Showroom or the Weaver Tent, type 'display' to see a list of published descriptions or 'display #' to see an actual description. Items for display inside the Weaver Tent may also be sold to interested customers. Type 'sell # to <name>' in order to officially sell an item. The command will moomail the description right to the customer and also moomail you with a confirmation of the transaction. Nifty, isn't it?

When a description has been 'sold', it disappears from the Gather index and thus from the display list of both the Showroom and the Weaver Tent.

NOTE: Those of Apprentice rank should submit their descriptions to *WCS first before adding them to ANY of the Database indices. Especially the Gather index. ICly speaking, Apprentices would have to have their work approved by a Master before it is allowed to be sold.
