April 7 2000: From The Associated Press:

"SCULLY'S STORY: Gillian Anderson is in charge of this Sunday's ``The X-Files'' (9 p.m. EDT). Anderson, who stars in the Fox drama as FBI agent Dana Scully, wrote and directed the episode in which her character encounters a former lover and questions the path she's chosen in life. 'The whole experience from beginning to end surpassed any of my expectations. ... I learned so much,' said the first-time director. Series co-star David Duchovny has only a limited role in the story, but Anderson says that was a gift, not a slight. 'I know for myself how important time is, and time away from work, and it was an opportunity for me to give him that,' she said."

April 5 2000: From Tv Guide:

"An impressive story written and directed by Gillian Anderson sends her alter ego Scully on a spiritual journey. It evolves from a seemingly chance encounter with a former teacher who 'had a huge impact on her life at one point and still holds a considerable place in her heart,' says Anderson. As more coincidences unfold, Scully becomes open not only to being led in a particular direction by something unknown but also to putting everything scientific and logical aside in order to take this huge leap.' She also meets a crop circle researcher who advises everything happens for a reason."

An "all things" quote by Dana Scully, from the Official X-Files Web site: "Time passes in moments. Moments which, rushing past us, define the path of a life even as they fix upon its end. How rarely do we stop to examine that path. To see the reasons why all things happen. To consider whether the path we have taken is of our own making, or simply one into which we've drifted with eyes closed. But what if we were to stop? To take stock of each precious moment before it passes? Might we see the endless forks in the roads that shape our lives? And, seeing the choices we've made, choose another path."

"After a string of strange coincidences, Scully scrutinizes a relationship from her past and embarks on an odyssey of self-discovery."

April 3 2000: From TV Guide:

"Scully finds herself on a spiritual journey after some seemingly chance encounters: she meets a hospitalized former teacher and a crop-circle researcher (Colleen Flynn) who's England-bound in search of a computer-predicted event. Daniel: Nicolas Surovy. Colleen: Colleen Flynn. Maggie: Stacy Haiduk. Dr. Kopeikan: Stephen Hornyak. Healer: Scott Vance."

"After a string of strange coincidences, Scully scrutinizes a relationship from her past and embarks on an odyssey of self-discovery."

March 27 2000: From The Official X-Files Web Site:

"Scully contrasts her medical background with the metaphysical world in 'all things.' Gillian Anderson writes and directs the episode that will tentatively air on 4/9. Stay tuned to the Official Site for a video interview about her latest endeavor. "

March 9 2000: From The Official X-Files Web Site:

"Written and directed by Gillian Anderson, 'All Things' will tentatively air on 4/9. Stay tuned to the Official Site for a video interview about her latest endeavor. 'Access Hollywood,' E! and the Associated Press are also running features in April."

February 25 2000: From Elwood Blues:

"Mulder investigates a grimoire while Scully stakes out a strip club. A chimera is an 'imaginary monster made of up grotesquely disparate parts.'"

    February 11 2000: From Autumn:

"This should be an interesting one for Scully fans. Introspection about the character, her choices, and a look at a relationship from her past. Mulder is in it, but it is Mulder light."

"If I were to do one of those press release blurbs it might read: A hospital chart mixup puts Scully in contact with a man from her past who was part of the reason she left medicine for the FBI."

January 30 2000: From TV Guide:

"Anderson is predictably cryptic about the story line: 'It delves into Scully's struggles between her place in life as an FBI agent and as a medical doctor,' she says."

January 22 2000: From The Official X-Files Web Site:

"Gillian is writing and directing her first episode, 7x17. TV Guide will run a story on it in the second week of February."
