    November 29 2000 : From FOX:

"Agents Scully and Doggett investigate the reappearance of a young boy kidnapped ten years ago, who returns to his family having not aged at all. Doggett takes a very personal interest in the case, and he and Scully discover that although the boy appears to be normal, things are not what they seem."

Plot synopsis for "Invocation" from Entertainment Weekly:

"Scully and Doggett are intrigued when a young boy returns from a 10-year kidnapping ordeal without having aged a minute."

Plot synopsis for "Invocation" from the print edition of TV Guide:

"Ten years to the day he disappeared into thin air, a seven-year-old boy returns to his point of departure - surprisingly unaged."

    September 16 2000 : From An Anoymous:

"Billy's mom Lisa is approximately 8 months pregnant when she is present at his 'disappearance'. Scully is definitely opening herself up to the more extreme possibilities. Although the script notes she doesn't know how to give voice to the line in which she expresses her more Mulderesque belief. While we can't be sure how the scenes will play, Doggett and Scully seem frustrated at times in the script (and per the script direction) with each other's different approaches."

    September 12 2000 : From Autumn:

"More information... from a draft version of the script."

"It takes place in Dexter, Michigan [and] there is a time stamp of September 23rd, 2000."

"Billy Underwood, age 7, disappears from a swing set on September 23rd, 1990. He shows up 10 years later, but still looks to be 7 years old but now sports a 'Damien-like' stare and won't speak but keeps freaking out his parents, brother and the family dog."

"I wouldn't necessarily call it 'centric' of either Scully or Doggett. Also, just for clarification, this disappearance that happens is not an alien abduction from what I can tell, so those of you hoping this has something to do with Mulder's missing state all I can say is: not in the draft I saw."

    September 12 2000 : From Donna Marie:

"Episode 6 is written by David Amman and is directed by Richard Compton. Shooting begins 9/20. Here are some characters being cast:

Billy Underwood: 7 year old child. Mysteriously abducted 10 years ago. Returns w/o having aged but is now creepy -- evil?

Lisa Underwood: Billy's mom. She was on the swing set w/ him when he disappeared. Haunted for 10 years -- not fazed when her son returns unchanged -- just happy to have him back.

Josh Underwood: 10 year old brother -- doesn't trust his newly returned brother.

Doug Underwood: Billy's father. Distrusts his 'son.'"

    September 16 2000 : From The Official X-Files Website:

"A child's abduction in Dexter, Michigan continues to haunt his family. 'Invocation' is script number six, written by David Amann. Noted television director Richard Compton gets behind the camera on 9/20."
