January 16 2001: From Tvguide and FOX:

"Scully's findings in the death of an importer in a D.C. hotel room suggest the man was killed from inside his body - which was in India at the time of death."

"Agents Scully and Doggett investigate a string of mysterious murders linked to a mystical being that is inhabiting its victims' bodies. As they gain more information about this inexplicable culprit, Scully and Doggett must race to stop it before it chooses its next victim."

January 13 2001: From Daniel Wood:

"What I saw was the second unit filming the teaser and the ending for episode 12 which features the 'beggar butt' as the call sheet refers to it. (Under weather it says, 'Beware of Beggar Butt.') It`s pretty much the way it`s already been reported in the spoilers where a businessman arrives at the Sahar Int`l Airport in Mumbai, India and is subsequently followed around and then attacked in the bathroom by the squeaky-cart Beggar Guy. The guy playing the beggar is all of three feet tall and he does have a little flat cart thing that he scoots around on. The actor has legs but the character doesn`t so they hid the legs under the cart, Lt. Dan style."

"Also of interest is the ending voice over that Scully has. According to the script the last line is 'Maybe if I could see through Mulder`s eyes I could understand.' Nice to know the absent center is still around."

    January 10 2001: From Causticmouse:

"There's a karmic twist to this murder mystery, with a climax that puts Scully to a real test."

"The victim is an importer/exporter from Minnesota found in a D.C. hotel room, twenty minutes after checking in following a flight from India. Despite much blood, the cause of death is unknown. Doggett finds fingerprints in the room suggesting a child was there. But what Scully finds in her autopsy suggests more: something appears to have exited the man's body -- which she determines was in India at the time of death."

"The ensuing investigating brings the agents to Mulder consultant *Chuck Burks* (Bill Dow), whose prognosis is that the suspect is virtually unstoppable."

    December 20 2000: From PichuFox:

"GAWS has an article from the NY Daily News that includes some spoilers for an upcoming episode. From the description, it sounds like episode 12:"

"The following is just the part that contains the spoilers, for the full article go here:"

"'Gillian Anderson has just stepped out of her Agent Scully alter ego. She is back in her trailer near a suburban school where huge plastic tubes - laid like sewer pipes waiting to be interred - carried artificial smoke to make the school "X-Files"-spooky in the light of the moon."

"Scully has been called to the school to investigate a 12-year-old boy thought to be a transmutation of an evil midget who enters people's bodily orifices."

"'"And he can levitate," says Anderson, trying to explain the outline of the episode, which features a 4-foot-tall Indian actor and a scenario so bizarre that she laughs when she describes it."

"'"I'm not sure why he needs to crawl up into people if he can just be wherever he needs to be," she continues.'"

    December 16 2000: From Anonymous:

"According to the script the last line [of this episode] is 'Maybe if I could see through Mulder`s eyes I could understand.'"

December 11 2000: From Benjamin Leatherman:

"I just got back from meeting Gillian Anderson at the NF benefit in Los Angeles. I also scoped out filming last night as well. Here's some info:"

"During the round-robin Q&A session, one fan asked Gillian if she could give us any spoilers about the episode they are currently shooting (8X12). She confirmed that the MOTW is basically a 'Butt Genie' (so nicknamed by the cast and crew) that crawls up people's legs. The actor playing the MOTW is named 'Feed' and is also playing a female ape in the Planet of the Apes remake."

"We were also given a tour of the set and they showed us two setpieces: an upscale hotel room which may or may not be the one mentioned in the teaser and a apartment which might be Doggett's, since 'DOGGETT' was written on it. Also, according to the stationary on the desk, the hotel is in Seattle."

"We also went to a filming location on Friday night on 3rd and Rossmore near Beverly Hills. They were filming both inside and outside an two story residential home. Special effects guys were making fake blood and both Gillian and Robert Patrick were present, so I assume this was the scene where Scully and Doggett investigate the murder of the young boy's father."

"Also, Gillian wasn't wearing anything that made her look pregnant, so by episode 12 I guess Scully's not showing. During the dinner break, Gillian came over and signed autographs. Someone asked why Scully's not showing, and Gillian laughed, saying 'Don't even f**king ask me!'"

    November 26 2000: From LtlXFStar:

"We open in Mumbai International Airport in Bombay, India. Hugh Potocki is returning to the US. As he walks through the airport he is surrounded by beggars. Only one in particular stands out. A tiny Indian man with no legs who wheels himself around on a squeaky cart. Potocki gives him fifty paisa to buy WD40 after the beggar has followed him for quite some time. The beggar drops the alms and continues to follow Potocki. He catches up with him in the bathroom where Potocki is clearly irritated. Irritation turns to terror as his feet are pulled under the bathroom stall. Potocki hits the floor and continues to scream as something continues pulling at his legs. Cut to a hotel suite back in D.C. Potocki looks pale and sick as a bellboy helps him to his room. The beggar's cart is strapped to the outside of Potocki's luggage. When left alone in the room, Potocki sits like a statue on the bed. Blood begins to pool beneath him and as we track up his body blood begins to bloom in his eyes, the white turning red. Potocki continues to sit and stare unblinking. End of Teaser."
