Biography

Skinny has had over twenty years of experience playing onstage since the age of seven. He started out on harmonica and soon picked up the guitar playing opry's and country/bluegrass festivals up until the age of 14. It was then that he began to learn about rock and roll, playing parties and High school dances with a band called TKO. After High school, Skinny earned an Associate of Music degree while playing in numerous bands and studying classical guitar for one year. Seeing that the academic music scene was too structured and filled with rules he went on to tour with the band Sweet Sorrow throughout the south and midwest. Soon after, Skinny did a three year stint with the band Shy Gypsy(later known as Step Child) and recorded their self-titled album which got a fair amount of airplay in the Omaha, Nebraska area. Skinny also played in Code Blue in which they opened for such acts as Steppenwolf, Humble Pie, Jimmy Van Zant(Lynyrd Skynyrd), Atlanta Rhythm Section, Black Oak Arkansas and Ozark Mountain Daredevils. It was during this time that he discovered the blues. Skinny moved to East Texas in '97 and spent a year and a half playing the club circuit all over east and southeast Texas as well as Louisiana. Moving back to the midwest in '99 he rejoined an old band called Rumor Has It and played the club ciruit for a year with them. Skinny is currently playing with the band Pranxter on the Omaha, NE and Iowa club circuit. He has done session work for various bands including Hot Ice and Pranxter.
