In 1985, my grandpa passed away at a hospital. Here was ill and bedridden and in a wheelchair most of my life after suffering a stroke and also had his right leg amputated.
A few years ago, I was at Grandma's house on Christmas Eve. While leaving the bathroom, I looked across the hall into my grandpa's old bedroom and thought I saw his image. He was standing on two good legs and had a big smile on his face. I noticed that he had a tooth missing on the upper-right side. All my life I remembered him wearing dentures. The image of him looked much younger than he did before he died.
After everyone had left, I told my mom and grandma that I had seen grandpa and when I told them about the missing tooth, my grandma's jaw hit the floor!! She proceeded to dig up an old photo that I had not seen before. It was my grandpa and the picture looked exactly like the image of him that I saw in his old bedroom!! The photo was taken 4 years before I was born and he had the same missing tooth!! I then learned that he didn't get dentures until 2 years before I was born. I haven't seen him anymore after that but it was a very pleasant encounter.
