SALVATION EXPERIENCE

Salvation is free to all those who want it, and if you're not sure that you have had a
salvation experience and have been included in the Body of Christ, then we invite
you to study the above verses and think about the thoughts outlined below.

First of all, an individual must want to be a member of the Body of Christ. God  gives us the
choice - we can either be a member of the Body of Christ, or we can spend eternity at a much
less desirable place.

Before Adam and Eve sinned in the Garden of Eden, mankind walked closely with God and
had no fear of either a spiritual or physical death. Once they sinned, man was told he would
die (both a spiritual and physical death), and he broke his personal, spiritual relationship
with God.  From then, to now, every person has been born with a sinful nature, and are apart
from God.  Sin carries the death penalty (both spiritually and physically).  Eternal spiritual
death means that we will spend eternity apart from God.  If we refuse to follow God, we are

rebelling against Him, and it will be us who loses.  Therefore, the first step towards salvation
is to realize that we are sinners and to want to take advantage of God's plan for our salvation.

Once we realize that we are sinners, regardless of how good a life we may think we have
lived, and want to be saved, we must BELIEVE God (not just believe IN God).  To believe
God we must have faith in Him (take Him at His word) and believe the Gospel (as outlined
in I Corinthians 15:1-4 (above).

After an individual takes the above steps sincerely, and totally believes God, they will
be baptized into the Body of Christ (by the Holy Spirit), and will be assured of eternity
with God.  Once we reach that plateau, God makes us a new person,  and we live
accordingly, doing all that we can for Him.
