Weber's Biography

                               

           I was born in the Year of the Dragon at a place called HONG KONG, not King Kong. (The place where Bruce Lee, Jacky Chan & Jet Li are from) It is such an awesome city because everything is close together. I don't need to walk my butt off to get something to eat. I live with my dad, my mom and my sister in a pretty nice apartment, but it cannot compare to those million dollars properties in Malibu or Beverly Hills. A lot of people ask me where I got my name from. I will tell them that my Chinese name is pronounced Wai Pak but my parents use Weber as my English name. Wai in Chinese means "GREAT" and  Pak in Chinese means "Cypress Tree."  That means I am great, strong and green all the time like the Cypress tree.

    I am now studying at Pepperdine University located in Malibu, California.  It is a renown academic institution.  I have been living in the midst of the American culture for many years and there are lots of things I have learned during this period of time such as U.S. customs, slang, values and so on.  It is really interesting compared to my own culture and I have enjoyed my cultural immersion. I also encounter funny things all the time.  One unusual thing that has happen repeatedly has been Americans asking  me if I am a communist. I ask, "why" and they tell me that since Hong Kong is going back to China, everyone in Hong Kong is going to be communist.  This pisses me off so bad and it reminds me of how the mass media is hiding the real truth from those innocent (or we can say DUMB, STUPID...etc.) people in the society.  Once again, I need to tell everyone that I am not COMMUNIST!!   Oh... also I want to verify that I am a Chinese from Hong Kong.  I am not Korean or Japanese.  And Hong Kong is not a city in Japan.  Pay attention guys!!!  Study more geography and read and watch more news.
