The Cardigans

Here is another band which rocks the world. It is "The Cardigans". I started to know this band when I heard the song "LOVEFOOL". Later on I heard their whole album "First band on the moon" and that's when I fell in love with their music. Their music sounds so free, so happy and so creative. Imagine driving along Pacific Coast Highway (Malibu, CA) listening to their music while staring at the ocean... Ver-li-good... (Don't worry, I also keep my eyes on the wheel too, I don't bother with the road though) Also the vocalist- Nina Persson has such a beautiful, sexy voice; also her classic, high quality looks...hard to forget. By the way my mom thinks this music sucks cause it lacks "harmony," whatever that is...I guess these is some generation gap. And here is a brief biography of this band:

Biography:

"The Cardigans formed October 1992 in Jonkoping, Sweden when guitarist Peter Svensson and bassist Magnus Sveningsson aborted their heavy metal phase and made it their new mission in life to be "as good as The Beatles." The band now includes Peter and Magnus, Nina Persson on lead vocals and finger snapping, Bengt Lagerberg on drums, and Lasse Johansson on guitar/keyboards. On the previous albums, Peter composed the music and and Magnus the lyrics, however, First Band On The Moon shows the debut of Nina as a major contributor, writing half of the lyrics on the album.

The Cardigans released their Swedish debut, Emmerdale, in May of '94. The first single "Rise & Shine" instantly became a radio fave and Emmerdale was eventually voted Best Album of 1994 by the readers of Sweden's leading music magazine Slitz. The Cardigans soon found themselves darlings of the Swedish indie pop scene. Following their 1995 summer tour of Europe, The Cardigans began writing and recording their second album, Life. The Stockholm Records version of Life was then licensed to the Chicago based Minty Fresh label, resulting in The Cardigans first domestic release and an eight city, sold out tour of the US. The Life album bloomed into an international success, with worldwide sales exceeding 1.5 million. First Band On The Moon was produced and engineered by Tore Johansson on 24 track analogue at the Tambourine Studios in Malmo, Sweden." (Mercuryrecords.Com)

Trust me, get your a** up after you finished checking out my homepage. Run to Tower Records, HMV or any CDs Store nearby and buy their CDs. This way your friends will think your very cool.
