Weber's Gallery of Chill!!

In this page, I am
going to show you guys where my friends and I usually chill after school and
during the weekends. In Los Angeles, Southern California, you can find
many
things to do. I remember when I was still studying back in Boston (east
coast), there was no where fun to go except some small towns (tiny small) or
the really incredible forest. I am sure anyone who saw that movie
"IN DREAMS" will know what am I talking about. Because that
movie was filmed near my high school. Still, I would go crazy (pulling out
hair and gnashing teeth) if I stayed in Boston any longer. I am glad I
found this place. And it is
Southern California. Please enjoy:
Third Street Promenade (Santa
Monica):
- The first place and
the most popular place for everyone in Southern California to chill out is 3rd
Street Promenade located in Santa Monica. It is a long street with loads
of shops, movie theaters, Shopping Malls, Restaurants...etc. Shops like
Pacific Sun Wear, Urban
Outfitters, Banana
Republic, Diesel, Abercrombie &
Fitch, J-Crew, GAP... are all located at this street. For guys there are
a lot of hot girls walking around too. And for girls, there are no hot guys
walking around; at least until me and my roommate step on the street.
There are not only
Pepperdine students, USC, UCLA students chilling at 3rd street. There are also movie stars
relaxing on 3rd street. You may have the luck like me, my sister and my
roommate to meet movie stars on 3rd street:
-I met Sarah Michelle Gellar on 3rd street one night while me and my sister are
shopping for clothes. We talked to her for a while and got her autograph too. Oh
Yeah.......
-My roommate Matt met Tom Hanks one night inside the Banana Republic
store. Tom Hanks stand right beside him looking at clothes too.
At night, street
performers come out to earn money by either singing, playing music, performing
magic, doing acrobatics...etc. And I see some Chinese people come to this
street to do acrobatics. Sometimes they even do the show in a really cold
winter night with just a T-shirt and shorts. I felt really bad for them
and I hope they earn enough money for a living.
- Here are some of the
restaurants outside look. There is one called hooters and it makes good
buffalo wings. Also the waitress inside wear really sexy outfits too... yeah baby
yeah!
- That huge store you
see at the back is Urban Outfitters. It got a lot of really cool looking
clothes and things for young people who need to prepare themselves for
cosmopolitan liv'n. It is rather expensive, which explains why movie stars
shop there.
- Here is another view
of the street.
- A view during cloudy
day.
- A view during
Christmas. One can see how the street is decorated.
Santa Monica Pier:
- Yet another fun place frequent. But I have to tell you
this is my fourth year in College and I have never been to this place. I
usually drive passed it. It can be a pain to park. I think I might make a trip to this place with
friends before I graduate.
- If you walk into the Pier and look right you
can see Santa Monica Beach. Beaches in Southern California are so much different compared to
beaches at home (Hong Kong). They are huge and long, and a lot of people
come here to enjoy the sun.
- When you walk onto the pier you will
discover a nice amusement park. It looks pretty fun, but I don't think it can compare
to Knott's Berry Farm or Six Flags Magic
Mountain.
Here are some more view of Santa
Monica:
- A view of Santa
Monica Beach. Note the Rollerblader.
- Another view from
Pacific Palisade.
- A view right above Pacific Coast Hwy.
- Ocean Ave in Santa
Monica.
- That little steep
road connecting Pacific Coast Hwy and Ocean Ave is called the Santa Monica
Incline. Going to Pepperdine University you just need to drive down the incline and then keep going north on PCH.
About a 15-20 minutes drive along the Pacific Ocean. I highly recommend it.
