airport.jpg (30601 bytes)  This is our brand new Hong Kong international airport.  This is just part of what the inside looks like. Can you believe how impressive and modern it appears?  The new airport is extremely gorgeous and massive. Our Government spent a lot of money to build it.

hk1993d.gif (57055 bytes)  A view of the China Bank Headquarter in Central Hong Kong.

HKBank.jpg (27503 bytes)  The tall, weird looking building is the Hong Kong Shanghai Bank.  In front of it is the Hong Kong Legislative Council (British style).

HKCEC.jpg (30987 bytes)  That half bird half airplane looking building is the Hong Kong Conventional Center.  Different world leaders came to this place for special events. Recently, major events like the handover and the World Bank Conference have taken place here.  Chinese president Jiang and US president Clinton have met here.

Tsing Ma Bridge.jpg (23763 bytes)  This is the Golden Gate... Opss... this is not the Golden Gate bridge of San Francisco.  This is the brand new Tsing Ma Bridge connecting from Hong Kong Island to Lantau Island in Hong Kong.  This Bridge is longer and wider than the Golden Gate bridge.  The top of the bridge is use by cars and the bottom of the bridge is a railway for the Airport Express.  It takes about an hour to drive to the airport following the speed limit.  And it only takes 20 minutes to get to the airport if  you take the airport express.

Building Cler..jpg (20424 bytes)  This is the only way to clean all those skyscrapers in Hong Kong.  Building cleaners like them work everyday like this to clean the outside of all the buildings.  Sometime they even spend time to eat their lunch on this platform 50 floors above the ground.  It that horrible or what?  I am sure they are braver than Rambo or the Terminator.

Nathan R..jpg (35296 bytes)  This is Nathan Road.  This long road (in US it is called a Boulevard) has all kinds of shops and restaurant.  It is one of the main tourist attraction.  But let me give my foreign friends an advice, most of the stuff they sell on this boulevard is crap.  I view them as cheap sh*t, but I am sure you can find some good stuff,  but you must be very lucky.  Also try not buy electronic stuff from those shops on the street.  They will trick you.  If you want to get good and cheap electronic, go to Mongkok.

P024.jpg (28469 bytes)  This is Hong Kong Art and Cultural Center.  It was supposed to be a train station a long time ago.  You can see that old clock tower from the past train station is still standing now.  It is located at Tsim Sha Chui, right beside Victoria Harbor.  Inside you can find different kinds of shows and concerts playing from time to time.  After the show you can take your family or your...  he he... on a walk beside the Victoria Harbor.  For the family it is fun and for a couple... very romantic.
