SCIENCE & TECHNOLOGY FAIR

RULES AND GUIDELINES GOVERNING ALL EXHIBITS

 

 

1.      Only one individual exhibit per student may be entered.  Group projects are also encouraged.  A student may participate in both a group project and an individual project.

 

2.      The size of your project may not exceed three feet in width or depth.

 

3.      Exhibitors requiring electricity for their projects must state that on their entry forms. The Science Fair Committee may limit the number of electricity-dependent projects.

 

4.      No open flames will be allowed. All exhibits may be screened for safety, and the SFC may excluded any exhibits that it believes could cause harm or injury to exhibitors/visitors.

 

5.      Containers for water or other fluids must be water-tight and, where necessary, ample drip pans for condensation must be provided for the exhibit.

 

6.      The school cannot provide specialized equipment such as televisions, VCRs, computers and other electronic equipment.

 

7.      No live animals are allowed the day of the event, however, photographs and data may be collected and demonstrated as part of the exhibit.

 

8.      You need to complete the Entry Form and return to the school office in the box marked "Science and Technology Fair" by Friday, February 25, 2000.
