6. On Biographies:
In each character's page you will find a "Biography", where we present fragments of the History of Middle-earth, in chronological order, viewed solely from the perspective of the character in focus. Details not directly concerning him/her are purposefully omitted. Characters mentioned for the first time in a Webpage are identified in purple, places in blue; characters discussed elsewhere in this website are hyperlinked.
By comparing different characters' Biographies it will be - we hope - easy to see where they intersect and how, indeed, all major characters interact and influence each other throughout the narrative. You will also be able to fill in the story... plot... thing... ;o)... as you go along.
It is also inevitable that you will find some repetition between the different Biographies, in an effort to make each one as understandable as possible, no matter which character you choose to consult first.
Some points are illustrated by particularly evocative quotes from JRR and Christopher Tolkien's work. These are clearly identified as they are presented in "dark blue, in Courier New font". The book they are taken from is thus identified:

Copyright on the movie-images probably belongs to New Line Cinema, Decipher, and a whole bunch of other people we can't name now, as we don't know what the site will include in the future. Characters belong to The Tolkien Estate. The actors' likenesses belong to themselves. «grin»
Copyright on the quotes, we would assume, belongs to The Tolkien Estate, Houghton Mifflin and Harper Collins.
Some of the images have been found in other websites. These usually carry a little logo. You will also find some original artists work. Whenever possible, the author is credited. However, there are a few pieces that we have been unable to attribute.
