Khabarnya Hayagriva akan membuat kemunculan semula pada 3 August 2003 di gig THE DEADMAN LAST WISH yg akan diadakan di Saloma Theatre Restaurant,Jalan Ampang, KL. Band lain yg terlibat adalah As Sahar, Samatary, Damokis dan Damien. Cuba klik di sini untuk tengok flyers gig tersebut. Malangnya gig tersebut dibatalkkan setelah berlaku masalah lokasi. Apa boleh buat. Tak dapatlah kita melihat satu kemunculan semula band otai ini.

Memang satu penantian yang teramat lama. Sehingga kini masih belum kedengaran apa-apa berita terkini dari mereka. Pernah juga aku terima emel tahun 2002 dari salah seorang penganut Hayagriva ini menyatakan bahawa akan muncul sebuah album dari mereka. Namun hingga ke sudah tak jugak nampak kelibat album baru itu.

Walau apapun semuga anda semua tak bosan untuk terus tunggu dan menunggu. Akan tiba jua habuan yang dinanti. Apa yang pasti Hayagriva tetap hidup subur sekalipun hilang tak berbekas.

HAYAGRIVA merupakan sebuah band black metal dari Ipoh, Perak. Band ini juga turut dikenali sebagai generasi ke 2 dalam Ipoh metal scene. Mereka boleh dikatakan salah sebuah band black metal yang paling awal dibentuk di Malaysia. Demo pertama mereka adalah The Lord of Neverending Wrath yang memuatkan 6 lagu kegelapan. Hingga kini (2002) mereka menyepikan diri tanpa sebarang berita. Cuma seawal 2003 terdengar berita diangin lalu bahawa mereka akan menghasilkan album terkini yang masih mengekalkan paksi kegelapan black metal. Kisah selanjutnya masih samar dan kelabu asap.

LP mini pertama mereka lahir pada tahun 1998 adalah Silverian's Art ( Elegy Domain ). Seterusnya beberapa demo dan album telah berjaya dihasilkan dengan serangan lagu-lagu yang begitu padu dan dahsyat. Kehebatan mereka dlm memperjuangkan irama ini dilihat setanding dgn band-band black metal luar negara. Roh wajah awal Hayagriva dikenalpasti sebagai Mentheravathee, Nhajasakti, Avimarga, Dyorakta & Vankateswehra . (diambil dari old webmetal)

Mini LP ini dirakamkan di Tri-Castle Studio. Ia berkonsepkan Cult Dark Shadow Metal.

Be prepared to be blown away by this album! Ever since the release of Langsuir's "The Eastern Cruelty", there has yet been an album which could, not only generate my interest, but also claim the right to be one of the best Metal album ever release in this region. Silverian's Art is a Metal album which could define or redefine the whole concept of Eastern Black Metal, if there is still any. From the beginning, a listener is being lulled into the sweet organic (or orgasmic?) melodies of "White As Jasmine". Without a doubt, the intro brings about a truly melancholic feel which most keyboard oriented local bands failed to produce. Finally, Hayagriva has taken the lead and show the minors how major players do their stuff. The next onslaught was the oddly titled "Thy Lord Of Oneness". While I was expecting that all-too-familiar black metal riff, Hayagriva surprises me by churning out a rather rocking catchy riff, a la an 80's heavy metal band. Being one who grew up with 80's heavy metal, I was grinning from left to right upon listening to that said track. The refrain part of that song is very well done, as the song switches to a lower gear, it is followed by a melodic lead guitar part that really tugged my sensitive heartstrings.

The following track, "Thy Infinities Kingdom", is an example of how keeping it simple could give an excellent result. Again, the refrain takes centrestage here as the composer inserts another beautiful atmospheric yet simple keyboard riffs that etches my memory. There is no need for technical lead guitar parts or "syncopated riffings" or other fucking odd song arrangements. Just simple yet satisfying! "Wicca Of Hayagriva" and "The Lord Of Shadow" follow the standards sets by the preceding tracks, with the almost trademark atmospheric keyboard riffs and well executed time changes. "Lost Zenith" provides an apt finishing touch to this masterpiece.

I had been waiting for quite some time for such an album to appear (as well as taking a rather long time to review this album!). The time is due for Hayagriva's "Silverian's Art (Elegy Domain)" to receive the accolades it truly deserves. This major breakthrough album is definitely THE Metal album for the year 1998, a must-buy.
