MY THOUGHTS ABOUT THE COMPUTER GAMES INDUSTRY 26/7 2000

The computer games business is the most fast-growing business in these days.

And the yearly turnover for the branch altogether is raising up to figures that are hard to get a hold on.

Due to those facts voices are raised a a protest against that phenomenon. Being games-
things that are illusions, not for real, something grown-ups shouldn´t deal with in the first place- isn´t it remarkable that what humans really deal with are games when it should be something constructive and important…think about it!

To determine my opinion about that I had to think about what humans really are
dealing with.

Now WHAT ARE HUMANS REALLY DEALING WITH??

Top industries are:

-Oil business for instance. Oil based products help us with heating, machinery, cars
and transports. That´s positive in a way, but we sure pay a high price in environmental
issues. Wars are fought about oil.

–Drugs and narcotics. Hard to put a finger on since every country has laws against
drugs. Who knows the yearly turnover from these business? I´m not the one yelling
for high penalties, I believe every person has to be responsible for his own life and
punishing drug addicts is like trying to cure a symptom instead of a disease but it´s
something the world doesn´t know how to handle with.

–Weapon industry- really the big shot. And what´s it for???

Considering this- after all the growth of the computer games industry is a
huge step forward for mankind.
